Oftentimes I’m asked what sets SP Films apart from others. Besides the 1:1 approach that I take in getting to know my couples on a more personal basis, I’d say that it always comes back to one word: Teamwork. We pride ourselves on being team players & work behind the scenes with almost every vendor that you’ve hired, weeks before your wedding date (especially your photographer!). This way we are all on the same page, have the same vision, and ultimately give you a flawless finished product. We’re constantly looking out for your photographers, making sure that we’re not in their shots. I’m working closely with your band or DJ so that we can preserve the highest-quality audio for your film. All of these little things really are the big things. From your first email response to your final delivery, we care. A lot.

I have no words ... The video you gave us is seriously beyond words - I felt like I was reliving every emotion I had that day and feel so lucky that I will have this video to treasure and share with my friends and family for years to come. You are beyond talented and I hope you know how much happiness your gift brings to people. Thank you for being such a special part of our wedding day!Liz & Shawn Hibbard, Married August 31, 2013
We can't thank you enough for the beautiful job you did documenting and showcasing the most important day of our lives! Working with you was a PLEASURE. We wish you all the best & extreme success-- your talent will surely bring you there!Megan & Mark Barber, Married August 11, 2013
When I saw the preview, I didn't think it could get any better...until I saw the full length video. Nora and her team captured our wedding in such a beautiful way and I will forever cherish this video! I think it was the best money we spent for our wedding, hands down. Not only does she produce amazing work, but she is such a great person to work with - so laid back, flexible and sweet! Not to mention, my photographer said she hardly knew she was there throughout the day (from what I hear, a characteristic of a talented videographer!) I would work with Nora again and again given the chance, she is simply the best!!Kerri & Andrew Gandin, married September 20, 2014
How do I go about booking your services?
Before I even introduce a contract, I like to meet in person (or talk over the phone if the distance is too far). Planning a wedding can be a scary task! Just like any relationship, I want to make sure that we are a perfect match before committing. While my style may be perfect for some, it may not work for others. By meeting, we can get a feel for one another, our styles, and expectations.
How far do you travel, and what are the associated costs?
I have several “hubs” across New England. If your event is taking place within 40 miles of a hub (Newburyport, MA, Bethel, ME, Portland, ME), I do not charge a travel fee. If your event falls outside of these regions, travel fees may include accommodations, mileage, and transportation. Due to the high costs associated with travel in Boston, some travel fees will apply if your wedding is taking place in the city.
Who chooses the music for my film?
Due to copyright laws, we pay for each song we use online. This is a tedious process that we take care of, although you are welcome to browse their libraries if you’d like. For our films, we use a mix of choices we feel match your footage and we welcome suggestions!
How long will it be before I get my full-length film?
So much goes into creating your visual piece of art, far more than one would think! After the celebration ends is when 90% of my work takes place. I typically walk away with upwards of 8 hours of footage that I scan thru multiple times, searching for “the shot.” After cutting it all down, I then use these clips to tell your story. I am a perfectionist and find myself re-working your film several times throughout the process. It may take upwards of 6 months to get your final film. But as the saying goes, “good things come to those who wait!”[/one_half]
