The New Year’s Eve wedding celebration of Meghan & Ryan

How did you two meet?
This question always trips us up and we laugh about it!

Ryan and I grew up in Haverhill, MA and attended school a year apart. That said, we did not know each other in high school. Many people (the best man/matron of honor, Meghan’s Aunt and even a miracle from Ryan’s late father ☺ ) take credit for introducing us. At the end of the day, Ryan reached out to me via good old Facebook in 2014 when I moved back to Haverhill from Northern VA. I said yes!

Why did you choose to get married at the location that you did?
We started our venue search along the New England coast line for this is where we spend most of our free time enjoying local eats and walking our dogs. Portland‘s charm and love for food drew us in. Once we stepped foot in The Westin Portland Harborview’s ballroom we were ready to sign. We were confident the foodie town and outstanding customer service at The Westin would be the ideal city to celebrate our wedding with friends & family from near and far!

What moment sticks out to you above all of the others?
Our 1st look, standing by my Mom’s side while Ryan and his mother danced, and the dual best man & matron of honor speech

Now that the wedding is over, what are you going to do with all of your free time?!
Great question! We will soon be on the hunt for a house however; we are going to take a break from planning for a bit to bask in the enjoyment of married life.
